Elevating Leadership (Women only)

When women are supported and empowered, all of society benefits. If we are to harness the distinctive strengths of female leaders to drive economic growth, nurture organizations, and tackle the world’s most pressing and complex problems, then we need more women leaders who can reshape our societies for a sustainable, inclusive and resilient future.

Mir Institutes Women’s Leadership program helps women gain clarity on how their talents can contribute to organizational success through personal awareness, identifying core values and principles, examining approach and considering new leadership strategies.

Target Group

Designed exclusively for women, the Mir Women’s Leadership program has been specifically designed with a focus on challenges women face and exploring solutions for women in leadership positions.  The program blends hands-on and on-line learning activities with course work and readings between sessions.

Course Content

  • Three two-day (6 days total) core development sessions from 8:30am to 5:30pm each day with overnight reflections. Includes a two-day HorseTells closing session at Mir Meadows Ranch, Grass Valley, CA with farm-to-table dinner.
  • Two online group sessions (2 hours each). Reading and learning activities between sessions.
  • Pre-work and customized assessment instruments. All attendees complete three assessments:
    1) Behavioral Style Inventory (Emergenetics®)
    2) Emotional Intelligence Inventory (EQi 2.0®)
    3) Ethical Lens Inventory (EthicsGame®)
  • 4 hours of post-workshop follow-on support, coaching and goal setting.

This twelve week program (6-days onsite) has been designed to give you insights into:

  • Your emotional and social intelligence.
  • Your capabilities and unique strengths.
  • Your leadership style.
  • Your ability to view yourself from a broader systemic point of view.
  • Your natural limitations and blind spots.

After the course you will have a greater ability to:

  • Redefine your notion of leadership as originating from the essence of who you are as a person and how you impact others.
  • Exercise more flexibility and choice in how you lead and impact others.
  • Be more aware of what influences your behavior.
  • Explore your motivations, ethics, and leadership style.
  • Clarify and communicate your fundamental values and beliefs.
  • Set the example for others by aligning your actions with shared values.
  • Express your image of the future.
  • Find opportunities to change and improve.
  • Apply the lessons learned in the workshop to current organizational challenges.
  • Have a personal framework for your own model of change and strategies for moving forward.
  • Connect with committed, like-minded, conscientious leaders to leverage expertise, experiences, provide guidance, as well as, expand your network of global resources and friends.

Mir Institute is dedicated to helping emerging women leaders advance into management and leadership positions.

Program size is limited to 16 participants. Program fees do not include hotel and travel costs.
